Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor, director, producer, playwright, teacher, and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the daughter of a Briton as well as an Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. In her early years Anna was a part of a variety of commercials on television. Anna relocated to Toronto in Ontario in order to pursue acting. The decade that followed, she eventually made the move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at an Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in 2009. Anna converted to Judaism at the beginning of January 2011, and then they re-wed in a Jewish wedding in Fredericton. Bo's similar-sex romance and Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was noted in the list of CNN's all-time favorite TV Couples and named the Top Television Couple in 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's popularity on the internet grew thanks to the success of the show.
