Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th of 1946 Locust Ridge Tenn into a poverty-stricken family which would later consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of life by using her vivid and far-ranging imagination. Before she was able to write and read, she began to compose her own songs. Her first guitar purchase came when she was just 8 years old and started performing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at age 11. Her first album was recorded during the same year on Gold Band Records, a tiny independent label. Even though she was still in school, she had already established herself in the local music scene. But her dream was to to make music on a bigger level. After graduating from high school in 1964, she moved straight to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female singer for his show that was syndicated from the beginning. Parton accepted the role in 1966. She then she joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. The show ended in 1974 as her solo albums like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene had begun charting their collaborative efforts. Parton's hit song, I'll Never Have Love for You (for Wagoner), hit the number. #1 spot following their broke up. The first time in 1974.
